GDPR: RESPECTING YOUR RIGHTS & DATA.

Cool, we’ve put together this page for you.

As documentary photographers first, we're about ethical practice, So here the low down on exactly what happens to any data you give us.

The Short Answer:

  • We only collect what we need to make your wedding photography amazing

  • We will always ask permission to show and share a few images from your wedding on our portfolio.

  • We won’t spam you or share your details with people selling stuff.

  • We keep everything super safe in digital services we have total control over.

  • We use several carefully selected specialist wedding suppliers for online galleries, designing & printing wedding albums. They are well-established industry leaders and have excellent reputations and data protection policies.

Want A Bit More Detail?

We use a small collection of software platforms to provide you with excellent service.  These platforms are industry-based, encrypted and very secure. We utilise the maximum security available on all these platforms to keep your data safe including 2-factor authentication.

All our Photography is stored in two secure local (Physical) locations and two remote (online) platforms. Locally all photography is stored and backed up across 3 secure RAID drives.

  • Unscripted is our photography studio platform. We use this to securely hold all client details data, contracts, invoicing and form data. The data is stored in the UK, and we utilise the most secure security settings.

  • Shootproof is possibly the best client experience for delivering wedding photography; we use this to deliver your photography to you and create apps.

  • Zoho Email is our email server. We utilise two-factor authentication and have security set to 11.

  • Zoho Books is our accounting software - again, security is set to the highest settings.

  • Kirby Website Our website is built with Kirby and the Zero One Theme. A database-free platform. This is hosted in the UK with Clook, a small but perfectly formed hosting company with outstanding security and service.

  • Bvckup 2 application to securely backup photography to our local unraid server

  • Resilio Sync for non-cloud data sync across multiple devices.

We Always Ask Your Consent:

We request consent from the wedding couple to publish selected images on our website and social media platforms. Depending on how you interpret the GDPR legislation, you could say that we should seek the permission of every wedding guest we photograph, but we can’t see how that would work at a wedding, and it simply is not practical.

Instead, we ask the wedding couple to ensure their guests know photography will happen and to let us know if anyone has a particular issue with being photographed.

The right to be forgotten:

We support your right to be forgotten. Should you wish us to remove all of your personal data from our system, we will happily do so. This is not possible for clients we are working with, as we need the data to offer you a service; it’s pretty hard to shoot a wedding if you don’t know where it is! Once we've delivered your images, We're very happy to do that if you'd like.
